where did I take this picture?

Today I decided to try some of the features that are included in iPhoto 09. I loaded the photos that I have taken over the last year with my iPhone and was pleasently surprised to see them all show up on the map. I had forgotten that I had taken some of the pictures until I saw the pin show on the map.

On our trip to Hawaii in January I had taken a number of pictures as we drove around the island and it was great to see exactly where I was when I took the picture. I think I’ll be taking more pictures with my iPhone, at least until we get a camera that includes geo-tagging.

For a program that is included pre-installed on all new Macs iPhoto has some amazing features. I even tried the face recognition and was impressed at how quickly it identified people, even the kids.

If you’re looking for a new computer and do lots of photography, you should at least look at the new Macs.
